Throughout my news writing internship at UW-Parkside, my task was to develop meaningful stories for the college of arts and humanities. My regular duties consisted of researching, taking photos, interviewing, writing, editing, and overall communication with both my supervisor and those involved with the stories. Messages, knowledge, and research were my three chosen communication learning goals, an essential combination of concepts that I was exposed to every day during this experience. As a result I have become a better communicator, interviewer, writer, and overall leader who is happy to do what it takes to create a meaningful, informative story.
